A Derby Wedding at Belt Line Station

by Lou Perron

On Saturday, Urban Durham agents celebrated the marriage of our colleague Mary Hartzell to Brooke Bennett.  It was a gorgeous sunny day at the Belt Line Station, the old railroad siding at Golden Belt. What a great space for this event!  The station is the revived railroad depot that once served the spur that ran from Durham to Lynchburg, starting in 1890.  Under the station’s metal awning, we ate, drank, watched the Kentucky Derby, and had a great time in celebration of this wonderful couple.  Decked out in big hats and bow ties, we smoked fancy cigars, and sipped mint juleps to celebrate the day.

From all of us at Urban Durham Realty, we wish Mary and Brooke all the Best!
