Triangle Pint & Plate
by Mariana Byrd
According to the Herald Sun, Triangle Brewery is going to be taking over the space that The Roxy had on Main Street (the bar at 802 W Main Street closed down a couple of weeks ago). The new place will be called Triangle Pint and Plate and should be delicious! It will be a little upscale and serve mostly Triangle Brewery beer - yum!
Speaking of bar places - I visited Alley 26 this weekend for the first time and loved it. The atmosphere, bartenders, drinks, and live jazz music were all fantastic. Plus, the outdoor space on a beautiful NC summer was just perfect.
Durham has definitely grown in terms of breweries, pubs, and bars in the last few years. It is wonderful to see that our city has such wonderful and unique places to eat, drink, and be merry!
P.S. Triangle Brewery is also suppose to purchase a warehouse for a new taproom location at 812 Mallard Street - only a couple of blocks from the Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood. That neighborhood just keeps getting cooler and cooler! Or, as they say in real estate: “Hotter and hotter!”
